These shorts are Big Year Twoers contribution to lessening her carbon footprint. They have been worn almost every day since she was about four. For the past year they are obviously too small but she will not let them go.
Sadly, a drawer full of alternatives goes wanting. Pretty tiered skirts and whimsical spotty dresses sit patiently unworn - some have waited so long they are now too small and will be stored away for Baby Grub.
We even had a shopping spree for new shorts awhile back in the hopes this would inspire a more varied outfit - a white pair, a pale blue and a multi were sported sporadically over a few short weeks - then it was back to full-time Mrs Threadbare Pants. Now threadbare has been upgraded to holes, we are singing the praises of the white pair in the hopes of making these the new "it" shorts. Finally giving way and revealing some cheek, they are now strictly "house pants".
These are one item that cannot be slipped into the bin one night and become an out of sight ,out of mind item. All hell will break loose.
