Today I have researched a few products I am considering for my 3 month old baby. She is on the brink of teething hence all of the following products are teething related.

Amber teething necklaces: I had heard about them from the http://www.essentialbaby.com/ website over the years since having my first baby - and now I'm looking forward to trying one with this baby. It is claimed, and actually proven by a Nobel prize winner it is stated, that the succinic acid it contains has beneficial properties for humans and I'm guessing is used in a teething context to lessen pain, as an analgesic. It doesn't state as much on the below website, rather that it strengthens immunity amongst other things. Anyhoo, they look cute and I have to try something other than the Bonjela of old which I think turned out to contain alcohol? Maybe that has since been repudiated by the Bonjela manufacturers, however, I won't be buying it again.

I think I will purchase one from this website: http://www.amberbebe.com/ as they claim their Amber is genuine Baltic Amber, and many others are not. Read their guarantee here: www.amberbebe.com/Guarantee-sp-3.html

They are pricier than other sites so perhaps their claims are true. I cannot find the origins of the Amber on other, cheaper sites.

Teething Bangles: Most of the chewable teethers available from supermarkets and babystores are too big and freaking ugly. These are simple and look like they would be effective. She'll be like the doorknocker from the movie Labyrinth with the ring in his mouth.

Teething Comforter Blanket: It's made from a terry fabric and you dampen the corner knots then freeze. Baby can then suck to soothe aching gums. I'm thinking it would melt pretty quickly though and could prove quite messy. I like the look of the comforter doll instead, with satin edging. I remember loving to rub satin togther as a child. (I still do, hehehe. Who doesn't?)
